About Us
Where It All Began

Our Story
I remember as a young child hearing my dad “Larey Carl Choice” speaking about the 100 acres that his father owned in the East Texas area of Kilgore, Marshall and Tyler Texas.
He knew not where the land had gone.
He and his six siblings were sent to an orphanage to be raised due to the passing of his mother.
It was rumored The state of Texas would not allow a single man to raise his own children.
Then, I remembered my mother speaking about her father Andrew Holly owning a convenience store and a baseball diamond next to the store in Ennis, Texas. My mother was an only child and she too was sent to that same orphanage my dad was being raised at.
My parents were raised as orphans with nothing.
All they had was each other.
Our Motivation
Just hearing about the wealth my family had, and then seeing that we owned nothing, made me sad.
I looked at people working hard but owning nothing. I knew then, I desired much more for myself and my family.
At 25 years of age, I purchased three lots.
At 30 I purchased my first house.
Then, I built a single family home on one of those lots.
I then purchased another house.
Several years later, I purchased another house.
Both of my parents lived long enough to see me accomplish something amazing, my success in purchasing three houses as a single woman.
My legacy is to purchase four houses to remember the hard work that my parents instilled in me and to gift each of my siblings a house of their own. I pray that they keep the legacy in the family.
